I'm sure in some point of traveling you have drove through Payson Arizona. It may seem like just a drive through town, where you just stop to get gas and eat. It is so much more! Hopefully someday, everyone will know what I know about this gorgeous little town.
Today we will talk about Green Valley Park in Payson. If you make a left on Main st. when arriving in town you will find our beautiful Green Valley Park. It has a beautiful lake that is stocked with Trout for catch and release fishing. People spend all day fishing and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Green Valley Park is a great place to have a morning or evening walk. It is dog friendly and you will see people at all times of the day walking their dogs. The park has sidewalks throughout, so if you would like to get your kids out of the car to stretch their legs or push them in a stroller it is perfect for that!
There is a playground with swings and slides for kids to get some energy out. You can have a picnic lunch at one of the covered picnic tables or just in the beautiful grass.
If your in town for 4th of July, the town of Payson puts on an amazing fireworks show with lots of fun things to do starting in the afternoon. Every summer they put on a pep rally for ASU. This year they had their first annual food truck festival, with live bands and tons to do for the whole family.
